Teaching Effectiveness

I am successful in performing my teaching responsibilities and received Outstanding Doctoral Graduate Teaching Assistant Award and nominations for PIE (Program for Instructional Excellence) Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award for two consecutive years. The PIE nominations were submitted by both the instructor who supervised my TA work and the students from the class I served as a lead instructor. My official student evaluations from FSU were consistently higher than the department averages. Across seven sections of Database System and Information Technology Project that I taught from the Fall 2015 to Spring 2018 semesters, my overall effectiveness rating was 4.15 out of a possible 5, whereas the department average was 4.03. Across five sections of Usability Analysis, Excel VBA Programming, Information Organization, Information Security, and Perspectives of Information Technology that I served as a Teaching Assistant, the overall effectiveness rating was 4.26, compared to a departmental average of 4.07.
